Tricycle driver yields P102,000 shabu in Pasig buy-bust op

Police seized P102,000 worth of illegal drugs from a 32-year-old tricycle driver during a buy-bust operation in Pasig City on Friday, Sept. 1.

The suspect, identified as “Jeff” by Pasig Police Chief Col. Celerino Sacro Jr., was arrested at around 10:30 p.m. at M. Eusebio Avenue in Barangay San Miguel.

Prior to the arrest, surveillance activities were conducted by the Pasig Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU).

Recovered from the suspect were 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000, three pieces of P100 bills, and seven pieces of P1,000 bills used as boodle money.

Evidence was turned over to the Eastern Police District (EPD) - Forensic Unit in Mandaluyong City for testing and laboratory examination.

The suspect will face charges for illegal sale (Sections 5) and possession (Section 11) of illegal drugs from Republic Act No. 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
