P200,000 'shabu' seized in Tondo, Manila


A total of P204,000 worth of alleged shabu was seized by the police during a buy-bust operation in Tondo, Manila on Saturday, Sept. 2.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the suspect as Rasul Abpi, 41, resident of Baseco Compound, Port Area, Manila.

According to MPD Moriones Station, the suspect was collared along Lakandula Street in front of Jollibee Plaza Hernandez, Barangay 5, Tondo at 11 p.m. on Saturday after selling illegal drugs to Staff Sgt. Jimmy Joy Fajardo and Cpl. Mark John Silva Alvarez who posed as buyers. 

Recovered from the suspect were two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 30 grams of suspected shabu. 

Police brought all pieces of evidence to MPD- Drug Forensic Unit for examination, while the suspect underwent drug testing.

The drug suspect faces charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 under Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
