Classes suspended in Marikina City due to enhanced monsoon rains
The Marikina City local government has announced class suspensions in all levels in public and private schools in the city on Monday morning, Sept. 4.
According to the Marikina Public Information Office (PIO), the city government cancelled classes due to continuous southwest monsoon rains enhanced by Typhoon Hanna.

At 7 a.m., the Marikina River water level was at 14.6 meters (normal level). The first alarm will be raised if it reaches or exceeds 15 meters.
Light to moderate rains with occasional heavy rains will be experienced in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Tarlac, Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas, based on the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) 5 a.m. rainfall advisory.
