WATCH: GMA-7 bosses on 'It's Showtime'

In a rare instance, GMA-7 executives were spotted watching ABS-CBN's "It's Showtime."

During the opening segment of the noontime show on Thursday, Annette Gozon-Valdes, GMA Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group, along with other network higher-ups, joined the hosts and the audience.

Cory Vidanes, the Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast at ABS-CBN, was also present.

Host Kim Chiu enthusiastically called for Annette and Cory to join them in saying the show's famous line: "What's up madlang people."

Meanwhile, Amy Perez also encouraged the bosses to give the new chant a try: "What's up madlang kapuso!"

It's worth noting that in July, a historic moment occurred when former rival networks ABS-CBN and GMA collaborated to cater to both Kapuso and Kapamilya viewers, with "It's Showtime" making its debut on GTV.

The opening performance was filled with artists from both networks joining the show's hosts.

The highlight of the episode then was Vice's performance, which included a dramatic entrance via helicopter to GMA, followed by a lively song and dance routine within the network's premises.
