Sara meets Chinese governor

Vice President Sara Duterte met China’s Fujian province Gov. Zhao Long as the Chinese official flew to Davao City.

The Vice President’s father, former president Rodrigo Duterte, also met Zhao, according to her.

During their meeting, Duterte and Zhao renewed the sisterhood city agreement between Davao City and Jinjiang City.

They also discussed the successful exportation of durian to China.

“Ang negosasyon dito ay nagsimula din sa ilalim ng aking administrasyon bilang mayor sa tulong ng (Its negotiation started during my administration as a Davao City mayor with the help of) Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Davao,” Duterte said.

Duterte, along with her brother Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte, expressed her gratitude to the Chinese governor for “the good news he brought” to the city.
