Kaladkaren sparks debate with AI comment

News anchor Kaladkaren gained widespread attention recently for her closing spiel in "Frontline Pilipinas." 

She said, "And that's it this Monday. Abangan po bukas ang mas maiinit na K-alaman at showbiz balita."

She emphasized, "Hindi po ito AI. Ako po si Kaladkaren."

Numerous internet users shared footage of the same on various social media platforms.

Kaladkaren herself posted the clip on her Twitter account.

When a person commented, "Ms. Kaladkaren @jervijervi shading the AI while reporting at Frontline (loudly crying face emoji)," Kaladkaren responded, "Hindi po ito AI… ako po si KaladKaren."

The TV5 reporter also re-shared a trending clip of sportscaster Mikee Reyes, echoing the same playful exchange.

"Kurutin niyo nga si ano (Kaladkaren) Baka AI ka," Mikee jokingly advised their fellow reporters.

Meanwhile, Kaladkaren retorted, "Huy, totoong tao po ako ha, mga kapatid."

On the other hand, Kaladkaren responded to an online user who reacted to her controversial remark with: "He thought he did something (face vomiting and clown emojis)."

She said, “You think you can put me down by misgendering me? Gurl, I have fought and won battles worse than this. Mahiya ka @KapusoThingsPH."

Recall that last week, GMA Network made headlines when they introduced the country's first Artificial Intelligence (AI) sportscasters, Maia and Marco, during a broadcast of the opening ceremony of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 99 men's basketball tournament.
