Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL) President Jean Henri Lhuillier lauded the efforts of the Blu Girls in hopes of making it to the podium this time after back-to-back fourth-place finishes in the previous editions.
“The advancement to the super round is an enormous success for us! However, taking home the gold medal would be an even bigger accomplishment!” Lhuillier said.
“We will continue to work hard, learn, and strive to be better as athletes and as a team, especially in our upcoming matches against other powerful teams. I believe that the girls have it in them to bring this one home!”
Other teams competing in the super round are host country China, Japan and Chinese Taipei.
