Biliran cops net 61 violators, 12 loose guns

TACLOBAN CITY – Police nabbed 61 violators of local ordinances and 12 loose firearms were surrendered in the one-day focused police operations in the province of Biliran recently.

Police Col. Felix Gervacio Jr., Biliran police chief, on Friday, September 29, said their anti-criminality strategy significantly increased the arrest of suspects and violators of local ordinances all over the province.

Of the 12 loose firearms, three were tagged as “Oplan: Katok” or “Bilang Boga” and nine were “de holen” firearms.

“Biliran PPO will never cease in the campaign against all forms of criminality, illegal drugs, and violation of local ordinances, towards a safer community and safest province in Region 8 and in the entire Philippines,” Gervacio said.

He urged the public to be vigilant by providing information to the nearest police stations or through police social media accounts of any incident.

Gervacio assured them that any information and their identities would be kept confidential.
