Woman arrested for throwing acid on building administrator's face in Pasay City

A woman was arrested after she allegedly threw acid on the face of a building administrator in Pasay City on Wednesday, Sept. 27.

The city police chief, Col. Froilan Uy, said the suspect identified as Desiree Torres was arrested at around 3:00 p.m. at Dasman Residence located at Apelo Cruz St., Barangay 162, Malibay, Pasay City.

Police said the incident occurred inside Dasman Residence.

The 32-year-old building administrator reportedly lost her vision after the suspect threw muriatic acid on her face. 

Torres was turned over to Substation 6 in Malibay after she was arrested by responding barangay watchmen.

Uy said the police is still conducting an investigation to determine Torres' reason or motive for doing the act. 

The suspect is currently detained at the police custodial facility. 

A complaint of serious physical injury was filed against her, police said.
