Man wanted in Taguig for carnapping arrested in Pasay City


A man wanted for carnapping in Taguig City was arrested by members of  the Pasay City police's Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) on Thursday morning, Sept. 28.

Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, identified the suspect as Ronnie Diaz, who was ranked third wanted person under station level, and seventh under district level.

Uy said Diaz was arrested at around 10:30 a.m. on Inofel St.,Barangay 110, Pasay City.

He said Diaz was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Antonio Murillo Olivete of Taguig Regional Branch  267 for violation of RA 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.

The city police chief said Olivete issued the warrant of arrest against Diaz on August 1, 2023 with a recommended bail of P300,000.

Uy commended the WSS team for their hard work and dedication in apprehending Diaz.
