As far as Lyceum head coach Gilbert Malabanan is concerned, there's no reason to celebrate just yet despite the Pirates' early success in the NCAA Season 99.

Lyceum gave reigning champion Letran another bitter pill to swallow after a thrilling 70-69 win which kept the Knights winless and in process earned the Pirates' second victory in as many games.
Shawn Umali and Enoch Valdez became the 1-2 punch for Lyceum with 15 and 10 points, respectively.
Malabanan, however, emphasized the need to stay sharp and ready, and warned his wards not to be complacent in this early stage of the tournament.
“We’re happy we're on the top, but we don’t stop there and hindi pa naman ito ang goal namin, malayo pa kami sa goal namin,” Malabanan said on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
“I don't want to mag relax kami because of that win, that win is nothing pa naman kasi wala pa naman kami napapatunayan,” he added.
“We are gonna enjoy and we will cherish this win, but by tomorrow, we’re going back to work ulit,” he continued.
Malabanan reiterated that other competing teams should also come hungry and motivated to pile up wins.
“Lahat ng team, lahat yan top teams, ayaw namin mag kampante,” Malabanan stressed.
“I trust my players with all my heart, kung sinong nasa loob alam kong meron silang ilalabas,” he added.
LPU will return to action against Perpetual at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30.
