A total of P564,400 worth of illegal drugs were seized from two men in separate buy-bust operations in Pasig City on Sept. 25 and 26.
Col. Celerino Sacro Jr., Pasig Police chief, identified one of the suspects as "Brian," 46, a seaman.
Eastern Police District (EPD) Director Brig. Gen. Wilson Asueta identified the other suspect as "Michael," 30, listed as a high-value individual (HVI) in the Unified Drugs Watchlist.
Brian was arrested at around 9:15 p.m. on Sept. 25 at F. Angeles Street, Barangay Buting.
Operatives from the Pasig police, and San Joaquin Police Substation (SS4) confiscated 10 sachets containing 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000, along with P200 bills and P7,000 boodle money.
Meanwhile, Michael was nabbed at 7:45 p.m. on Sept. 26 in Barangay Malinao by EPD and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) personnel.
Police recovered around 33 grams of alleged shabu worth P224,400 in Michael's possession.
All confiscated drugs were brought to the EPD-Forensic Unit for drug test and laboratory examination.
Both men are detained at the Pasig police custodial facility, facing charges for violation of Sections 5 (sale) and 11 (possession) Art. II of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
