Police Regional Office-13 chief Police Brig. Gen. John Kirby Kraft said alias “Jon” was arrested after he yielded P68,000 worth of suspected shabu and a .38 revolver with bullets in a hot-pursuit operation in Buenavista, Agusan del Norte on September 19.
On the same day, “Rod,” 68, was arrested during the implementation of a search warrant in Barangay Kapatungan, Trento, Agusan del Sur, for possession of a caliber .45 pistol.

Sixteen unregistered firearms were turned in for safekeeping under the “Oplan: Katok” campaign.
Oplan Katok is a Philippine National Police program where police officers visit the houses of gun holders to encourage them to renew their expired licenses or permits to carry. Police will obtain their firearms for safekeeping.
“We have been closely monitoring those people who possess loose firearms,” Kraft said, adding “Together, let us keep our community safe from gun-related violence or incidents, especially during the campaign (election) period.”
