39 wanted persons nabbed in Cordillera

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Thirty-nine wanted personalities, including seven listed as most wanted persons (MWP), were arrested by the Police Regional Office-Cordillera from September 17 to 23.

The PRO-Cordillera Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division said the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) apprehended 12, followed by the Baguio City Police Office with nine, Ifugao PPO with six, Apayao PPO with five, Abra PPO and Kalinga PPO with three each, and Mountain Province PPO, one.

Of the seven individuals listed as MWPs, six are most wanted on the municipal level and one on the provincial level.

Meanwhile, as a result of intensified police presence, 54 municipalities in the region and one police station in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents during the week.

No crimes were recorded in 22 out of 27 municipalities in Abra, seven out of 13 in Benguet, seven out of 11 in Ifugao, five out of seven in Apayao, three out of seven in Kalinga, and 10 municipalities in Mountain Province.

The BCPO Station 10 (Marcos Highway) also recorded zero crime incidents out of the 10 police stations in Baguio City.
