37 families affected by fire get financial assistance in Taguig
A total of 37 families were given financial assistance after their houses were razed in a fire in Taguig on Sept. 25.
According to the Taguig City Fire Station, the fire started from a three-story residential structure on Kasoy Street in Barangay Western Bicutan at about 11:07 a.m.

The fire spread to nearby houses, causing damage to property amounting to P1.05 million.
The Taguig City government and the Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) provided financial assistance to the 37 families to rebuild their homes.
They are temporarily staying in an evacuation area at Block 10 Covered Court in Barangay Western Bicutan.
The city government gave them hygiene and sleeping kits and the DSWD-NCR provided kitchen and family kits.
No one was injured in the fire, which reached the first alarm at 11:16 a.m. and was put out at 12:16 p.m. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
A total of seven fire trucks and one ambulance responded to the incident.
