The Parañaque City government started the distribution of allowance to elementary students from the city's District I on Tuesday, Sept. 26.
Mayor Eric Olivarez visited several elementary public schools in the city to ensure the smooth distribution of the monthly allowance. These include the San Isidro Elementary School, Silverio Elementary School, La Huerta Elementary School, Sto. Niño Elementary School, Don Galo Elementary School, Camp Claudio Elementary School, Tambo Elementary School-Main, Tambo Elementary School-Unit 1, Baclaran Elementary School-Central, Baclaran Elementary School-Unit 1, and Baclaran Elementary School-Unit 2.
He said each students received P3,000 which is equivalent to six months of allowance for every student covering the period from January – June.
The mayor said elementary students from District 2 will receive their allowance on Sept. 28-29.
Olivarez said the city government finished the distribution of allowance for junior and senior high school last Sept. 22.
He said the government has on record a total of 110,000 students who are beneficiaries of the allowance.
