P340,000 worth of 'shabu' seized in Navotas

Operatives of the Northern Police District (NPD) Navotas Station (NCPS) seized around P340,000 worth of alleged shabu and arrested two suspects in a buy-bust operation in the city on Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Police identified the suspects as alias “Jungky,” 44; and alias "Kang," 37, both residents of Barangay NBBS, Navotas City.

The NPD launched the entrapment operation against the suspects along Bangus St., Barangay NBBS Kaunlaran, Navotas City at 1:15 a.m.

It said that the suspects were arrested after a policeman who posed as a buyer purchased P7,000 worth of alleged shabu from them.

The suspects yielded around 50 grams of shabu with a street value of P340,000, a violet coin purse, and the buy-bust money.

The apprehended suspects and seized pieces of evidence were turned over to the Duty IOC (Investigating Officer of the Case) at the SDEU (Special Drugs Enforcement Unit) Office to prepare them for inquest proceedings, police said.
