P14.7-M shabu, marijuana seized in Cordillera

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police seized suspected shabu and marijuana valued at P14.7 million and arrested four drug pushers in the Cordillera from September 17 to 23.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera said 14 clandestine marijuana plantations with 72,765 fully grown marijuana with an overall standard drug price of P14.5 million were discovered in Benguet, Kalinga, and Mountain Province.

Lawmen burned these after documentation and follow-up operations are being conducted to identify their cultivators. 

The suspects yielded 9.14 grams of shabu and 1,387.70 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops with an overall SDP of P201,884.

Three suspects were nabbed by the Kalinga Police Provincial Office and one by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit.
