Man arrested for stabbing drinking buddy in Dasmariñas, Cavite

CAVITE – Authorities arrested a man who allegedly stabbed his drinking buddy in Dasmariñas City on Monday, Sept. 25.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the suspect as Jhunher E. Consigna.

Dasmariñas City Police Station (CPS) Chief Lt. Col. Socrates S. Jaca told the Manila Bulletin that Consigna was on a drinking spree with the victim, Bryan Joy Y. Lucenio, and a few other friends on the night of the incident.

Consigna and Lucenio got into a heated argument, reportedly leading to the stabbing in various parts of the body of the victim, resulting in his death.

The suspect is now under the custody of Dasmariñas CPS and is facing a homicide charge.
