The Good Will lead star was chosen to receive the “Asia’s Man of Excellence in Entertainment Productions Award of the Year.”

Aside from his numerous acting stints, David stands out for his directorial expertise in Korina Sanchez-Roxas’ TV shows, remarkably Rated K and Korina Interviews, aside from his other creative endeavors under Dark Carnival Productions, his very own production outfit.

Taking to Instagram to share his proud moment, David wrote, “What a great honor to have been chosen and recognized by a prestigious award-giving body in Thailand, one of the Asian region’s fast-rising entertainment hubs!”

“Thank you to the organizers and jurors of the Thailand International Leadership Awards 2023 for being given Asia’s Man of Excellence in Entertainment Productions Award of the Year.”

“Now I realize that all the challenges, hardships, and struggles were all meant for a higher purpose—not solely for personal gain or acclaim, but for doing my humble share in uplifting the industry that I love so dearly and in being given the chance to work alongside talented and world-class artists.”

“My sincerest thanks to my Dark Carnival Productions colleagues, my mentors, kuya Isko Moreno, Kuya Philip Salvador and to my ate Korina Sanchez-Roxas, who gave me my first big break as a director, and to our many clients and partners who trusted my creative vision.”

“May this inspire me to work even harder and reach greater heights. Hopefully, I get to wave our flag in other equally prestigious global awards as well in the near future.”

David felt equally proud to celebrate the victory of acclaimed actor Baron Geisler, who was awarded the “Asia’s Best Actor in a Lead Role” award for his critically acclaimed performance in the movie Doll House.

Accepting the citation on Baron’s behalf, David exclaimed, “This award should be a fitting reward for Baron who redeemed himself, not just as a first-rate actor, but also as a man of faith who emerged  victorious in his own personal struggles.”

David’s Thailand trip serves as a fitting break from his busy taping schedule for the Net25 feel-good comedy, Good Will, which will soon kick off its third season starting October.
