Claudine Barretto has refuted ongoing notions regarding her supposed feud with sister Gretchen Barretto.
On Instagram, she shared a screenshot of a video call with Gretchen as with her brother Jay-Jay.
Her caption read: "I miss u both terribly (face holding back tears emoji) i luv u my Ate & Kuya jjbarretto sooo much (face holding back tears and red heart emojis)."
Numerous netizens reacted to her post.
One online user expressed, "Finally, I’m sooo happy to see you guys hugging and kissing, reconcile. Praise God (heart emoji)."
Claudine quickly clarified, "Thank you sweetheart pero d kami nagka problema or away ng ate ko.d lang talaga kami nagkikita bcoz nag shooting ako ng LOYALISTA.(face blowing a kiss emoji)."
But why was she absent at Dominique Cojuangco's wedding?
Claudine explained that she was under lock-in for a shoot at that time.
Just a few weeks ago, Claudine gave a special shout-out to Gretchen for the new tablet-style computing device she gave her.
According to her, Gretchen simply wanted to "spoil her as always" because she was feeling unwell and sad at that time.
"She cant take care or visit me coz im nakakahawa so she surprised me with these instead. im not used to be the person given gifts its always me giving gifts.except my Ate Gretchen.when she finds out i need something or my cellphone or ipad is not updated she will always gift me without me saying.thank u so much to my Ate.youre the sweetest.pls pray for my speedy recovery," Claudine said.
Earlier this year, Claudine assured fans everything is good between her and sisters, Gretchen and Marjorie.
Note the three made headlines prior for their squabbles.
Claudine mentioned, "We don't get to talk-talk talaga but all is well."
She added, "We see each other during lunches, dinners, meriendas with the family. We have a big family. And we small-talk. That's good enough."
Regarding Marjorie's daughter Julia, she remarked, "We're good."
"I'm very proud of her — I'm proud of whatever it is she is achieving now. I want her to have more breaks para ma-showcase yung acting pa niya," Claudine stated.
In the same interview, Claudine expressed her gratitude to Gretchen for always being there for her, especially during difficult times.
"The reason I am okay now after everything I’ve been through is because of my sister Gretchen. She never left my side," she said. "We don’t get to spend time, all the time. But the words of wisdom, her being there, kahit thru phone lang, ang dami kong natutunan."
