'Akyat-bahay:' Man returns home to find P100K appliances gone in Cavite

CAVITE – A man returned home to a shocking discovery that his appliances and electronic devices worth P100,000 have gone missing overnight in Barangay Maduya, Carmona City, on Sunday, Sept. 24.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) said the 29-year-old male victim left his house to visit a relative’s wake on Sept. 23.

Upon his return the next day, he noticed that the house’s back window was ajar and the doorknob forcibly opened.

The victim later discovered that his appliances and gadgets were stolen, including his laptop, washing machine, air conditioning unit, rice cooker, induction cooker, and speaker.

Aside from the electronic equipment, the victim’s P3,000 cash and groceries worth P5,000 were also carted away.

The Carmona City Police Station is now conducting a dragnet operation and has coordinated with nearby police stations to collar the suspects.
