No water in parts of Muntinlupa due to Maynilad's temporary plant shutdown

Parts of Muntinlupa will have no water from Sept. 28 and Oct. 1 due to Maynilad Water Services’ decision to temporarily shut down its water treatment plant in the city for maintenance and repair. 

Maynilad has its Putatan Water Treatment Plant in Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa.

The company said this is the second scheduled plant shutdown this year to implement the program to maintain the good condition of the facility. 

Among the activities to be implemented are the replacement of the UF (Ultrafiltration) inlet valves needed to isolate water in UF racks of the plant. 

As a result, Maynilad said there will be water service interruptions in some areas in Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Parañaque, and Pasay City in Metro Manila; and Bacoor, Cavite City, Imus City, Noveleta, and Rosario in Cavite.

Maynilad advised its affected customers to store enough water that can be used during these days. It said it is ready to deploy mobile water tankers to deliver clean water if needed.
