The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Sept. 25 that 3,878 out of 6,833 examinees passed the September 2023 social workers licensure examination.
Patricia Marie Regalado Imperial of the University of the Philippines Diliman (UP-Diliman) topped the board exam last Sept. 18 with 88.60 percent.
Queenie Anne Cabalfin Umadhay of UP-Diliman came in second with an average of 87.2 percent, and Darlaine Joy Datulio Labandero of University of Mindanao Davao (UM-Davao) in third place with 87 percent.
Meanwhile, Maria Theresa Dacanay Lucas of UP-Diliman took fourth place with a score of 86.60 percent, and Jingga Roa Asupan of Leyte Normal University took fifth place with a score of 86.20 percent.
The examination took place in Metro Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Kidapawan, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
It was facilitated by the Board for Social Workers headed by its chairman, Lorna Gabad, and members Rosetta Palma, Fe Sinsona, and Ely Acosta.
PRC said passers may register online for their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration from Oct. 25 to 27 and Oct. 30 to 31.

The requirements for registration include a downloaded duly accomplished oath form or "Panunumpa ng Propesyonal," notice of admission, two pieces of passport-sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps, and a short brown envelope.
PRC said the date and venue of the inductees' oathtaking will be announced soon.
