The techno-demo aims to help Bulakenyo farmers to improve and increase the efficiency, productivity, and sustainability of their crops.

Castro was accompanied by Gloria SF. Carillo, department head of the Bulacan Provincial Department of Agriculture, District 3 Board Member Romeo Castro Jr., San Ildefonso municipal agriculture officer, and a representative from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI),

Also present were the owners and representatives of the eight participating seed companies -- Allied Botanical Corporation; Advanta Seeds Philippines; SeedWorks Philippines, Inc.; Enza Zaden Philippines; Ramgo International; Pilipinas Kaneko Seeds Corporation; East-West Seed Company Philippines, and FA Greenseeds Corporation.

Among the fresh vegetables and fruits harvested were Kalabasa (squash), Lettuce; Upo (bottle gourd), Patola (silk squash), Pakwan (watermelon), Sili (chili pepper), Pipino (cucumber), Talong (eggplant), and Sitaw (string beans).

Castro said that some of the vegetables they harvested were a variety of Ramgo seeds, a perfect way for farmers to deliver a line of fast and easy-to-produce vegetables.

"Subok sa tag-ulan, tuloy ang pamumunga at kita ng mga magsasaka," (Tested on rainy season, fruit grows as well as the earnings of farmers)," he said.
