Rain showers from 'habagat', LPA trough to prevail over parts of PH
The western sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas may experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon or “habagat,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Monday, Sept. 25.

The habagat may bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Western Visayas, and Central Visayas.
Meanwhile, PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina said the low pressure area (LPA) west of the country continues to move away from the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).
However, Badrina said the trough of another LPA east of the country, which is outside the PAR, may bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers to Masbate and Eastern Visayas.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA advised the public to be cautious during severe thunderstorms, as these may bring flash floods and landslides in high-risk areas. (Lizst Torres Abello)
