The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said that that the security coverage during the three-day Bar Examinations for 2023 held at the University of the Philippines (UP), in Diliman, Quezon City was generally peaceful and orderly.
The local police said that it deployed 59 personnel to ensure the security of examinees and school premises during the conduct of the examinations at the university on Sept. 17, 20, and 24.
The Bar Examination is the professional licensure examinations for lawyers in the country.
No untoward incident related to the Bar Examinations was recorded, QCPD said.
“The intensified presence of police officers who were deployed in different areas near the school premises contributed to the success of the said examinations,” it added.

“The sufficient number of police force deployed to different areas were tasked to ensure the safety of all examiners and were on alert in responding to any untoward incident”, QCPD Director Redrico Maranan said as he commended his men for their dedication to duty that led to a peaceful and orderly examinations.
The Quezon City government also assigned personnel from its Traffic and Transport Management Department in different areas near and in the university to manage the traffic flow in the area.
There were also 15 e-trikes (electric tricycles) deployed by the City Department of Public Order and Safety that helped ferry the examinees to the testing sites inside the campus. Ambulances, rescue and fire trucks were also deployed for emergency purposes.
Members of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and representatives of the Supreme Court, UP, QC Health Department, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, QC Police Department, and QC Fire District at Barangay UP Diliman, were also present to help maintain peace and order during the conduct of the examinations at the university.
