‘One Piece’ star Mackenyu to visit Manila for ManiPopCon


Get ready Filipino fans because Zoro is coming! 

Mackenyu Arata, star of the Netflix live action series “One Piece,” announced that he will be attending the Manila Pop Culture Convention (ManiPopCon) in November. 

“To my Filipino fans out there, I’m happy to share that I’ll be appearing at the ManiPopCon in Manila on November 17th to the 19th. See you guys there,” said Mackenyu in a video posted by ManiPopCon.

Mackenyu plays the role of Roronoa Zoro in “One Piece” and he has captured the hearts of thousands of netizens with his good looks. 

The 26-year-old star was born in the US in 1996 and started his activities in Japan in 2014. 

Through “One Piece,” his popularity has skyrocketed. His Instagram followers rose to 5.2 million as of Sept. 26 from 3.18 million as of Aug. 30, or an increase of 2.02 million followers.
