'Asian Persuasion' wins Audience Choice Award at Soho Int'l Film Fest


KC Concepcion's first international film, "Asian Persuasion" nabbed the Audience Choice Award at the Soho International Film Festival.

She is quite happy and proud about it.

Taking to social media, she wrote, "Out of over 100 film entries at the Soho Film Fest, 'Asian Persuasion' won the AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD for full-length feature! Ang saya!"

"Congratulations to our director, and three-time Tony Award winning producer Jhett Tolentino - and big love to the entire production," she added.

KC posted photos and videos of herself at the awarding ceremony, as with the trophy.

Gabby Concepcion is proud of his daughter.

He posted, “Congratulations, my baby girl!” 

Anthony Pangilinan, brother of KC's stepdad, Kiko, also congratulated KC for the win.

"Asian Persuasion" is about a deadbeat who comes up with a plan to avoid alimony obligations to his ex-wife. 

Jhett Tolentino's directorial debut is one of only two Filipino films screened at the Soho International Film Fest.

KC replaced Toni Gonzaga in the film.
