A 34 year-old vendor who sexually abused a 12-year-old boy was arrested on Saturday, Sept. 23 in Pasay City.
Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, identified the suspect as Charlo Marcial, of Antipolo St., Barangay 11 Zone 4, FB Harrison St., Pasay City.
Uy said Marcial was arrested based on the complaint of a 32-year-old call center agent claiming that her 12-year-old brother was sexually abused by the suspect.
The city police chief said the sister of the victim claimed the incident happened inside the male comfort room at the fourth floor of Welcome Plaza in Barangay 93, Pasay City.
Uy said the Libertad substation immediately conducted a follow-up operation for the arrest of Marcial.
He said the victim claimed that he was told by the suspect to accompany him to the comfort room of Welcome Plaza located at the fourth floor of the building.
The victim added that once inside the comfort room, the suspect allegedly closed one of the cubicle doors and threatened him to remain silent, saying, “Papatayin Kita” (I will kill you).
The victim also told police that once inside the cubicle, the suspect started to pull down his short and sexually abused him.
"The Pasay city police station remains committed to protecting the welfare of our community, especially children who are most vulnerable. We urge the public to report any incidents of abuse, and we assure everyone that we will take swift action against any offenders," Uy said.
