House Speaker Martin Romualdez says he is "truly proud" of being part of the massive national service caravan dubbed Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF), the launch of which dominated headlines Sunday, Sept. 24.

“I am truly proud of what we have accomplished here, from our dry run in Biliran to our ambitious and simultaneous grand launch in four provinces. We could not have done this without the vision of our President,” Romualdez said.

“The Serbisyo Fair truly breathed life into the aspirations of President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Romualdez Marcos Jr. to bring so many government programs within the reach of people who may not have the means to avail of these benefits,” said the leader of the 311-strong House of Representatives.

Romualdez also expressed excitement over the idea of the BPSF visiting all 82 provinces in the country given its huge success.

President Marcos was in Nabua, Camarines Sur on Saturday, Sept. 23 to lead the launch of the BPSF.

The all-encompassing social service initiative was simultaneously launched at three other locations: Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Tolosa town in Leyte; and in the Monkayo, Davao de Oro.

It is expected to initially benefit 400,000-plus Filipinos seeking to avail more than 60 services offered by various government agencies with a fund of at least P1 billion.

The BPSF national secretariat comprises the Office of the President, the Office of the Speaker, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), and the House of Representatives.

Among the major social services offered by the BPSF include enrollment in TUPAD or GIP, legal counseling, distribution of farm inputs and machinery, Tulong Dunong Program, TESDA scholarships and program enrollment, financial assistance programs, Kadiwa stores, SB Corp. services for MSMEs, educational assistance, LTO driver’s license renewal, DFA passport application, NBI clearance application, police clearance application, LTOPF renewal/application, and PSA birth certificate application.

Also offered at the event were Pag-ibig membership and housing loan, SSS membership application, GSIS UMID application, Postal ID application, National ID application, PhilHealth consultation, Public service training, PRC renewal, PAO free legal services, and PhilHealth registration.

“Ipinakita rin naman na ang gobyerno po ng ating mahal na Presidenteng BBM [Bongbong Marcos] ay nandito, very, very active, very much present. Iyan ang sinasabi ng ating Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair,” Romualdez said.

(We showed that the government of our beloved President Marcos is here, very, very active, very much present. That's what is being conveyed by our Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair.)
