He is known for his success in the ice tube business. Gerry "Mr. Freeze" Santos is a man of many talents, from helping others achieve their business goals to becoming a show host.

Despite being friends with award-winning actors, including Albert Martinez and Aga Muhlach, he still keeps his down-to-earth profile.

During an intimate press conference for his new partnership with MyATOMS on Aug. 14 at Ortigas City, Gerry shared how he phases himself around celebrities.

"Kasi kung makikita niyo, never talaga ako lumapit sa celebrities like nung birthday ni Aga selected friends lang yun, kaya nakakatuwa nung nilagay ako ni Aga sa tabi niya for the photo," Gerry said.

(Because if you can see, I never really approached celebrities like on Aga's birthday, it was only selected friends, so it was a fun moment for me when Aga put me next to him for the photo) .

Aside from being friends with Aga, Gerry is also a close friend of Derek Ramsay and Isabelle Daza. During the event, he shared that Aga vouched for him in front of other celebrities, including mega star Sharon Cuneta.

"Since may mga mutual friends na kami, syempre vinouch na rin ako ni Aga saying "Nako si Gerry sobrang bait niyan", kaya after nun si sharon naginvite na ng dinner with her husband Kiko kasi nakita din nila yung business ko and natuwa sila,' he added.

(Since we have mutual friends, Aga also vouched for me, saying, "Gerry is a very nice person," so after that, Sharon invited me to dinner with her husband Kiko because they also saw my business and were happy.)

Gerry further explained that his friendship with Sharon happened automatically, just like with Derek Ramsay.

"So that night parang naging friends agad kami ni sharon, parang automatic lang like with Derek ganun din kami naging friends, actually tumawag pa nga siya sa facetime", Gerry said.

(So that night, Sharon and I seemed to be friends immediately; it was like an automatic friendship with Derek, and that's how we became friends. Actually, he even called us on Facetime)

Sharing his lessons and experience with MyATOMS

With his long-time friend MBA Executive Director Jonathan Petalver, Gerry partners up with a start-up company called "My Atoms" owned by Marcam Marasigan. 

During the contract signing with Gerry, Marcam shared how honored they are to have him on board for the company.  

"Eto talaga yung pinagpepray namin, kasi we know the background of sir gerry, and we're a start up company and we're really happy na nakita niya yung vision and potential of our company, " Marcam said.

Gerry said he was done with the business part of his life as he passed the responsibilities to his kids. Still, when he saw the potential of MyATOMS, he immediately signed up for the partnership. 

"When we had the meeting a few weeks ago, I saw the potential of this company. Kasi, it's not all about the money. When I saw the people around yung mga distributors nila na gustong kumita sa product na to, sabi ko yan ang gusto ko kasi that's what I did from my company," he said.
