Two men who robbed a security guard in Quiapo, Manila were arrested by the Manila Police District (MPD) bike patrollers on Saturday morning, Sept. 23.

The MPD-Barbosa Police Station (PS-14) identified the suspects as Alfredo Manimog, 29, resident of Binondo, and Jessie Delima, 18, resident of Quiapo.
According to the investigation, Rizaldy Sesma, 40, was walking around 8 a.m. on Quezon Bridge in Barangay 384, Quezon Boulevard in Quiapo, when the suspects approached him.
He said that the two suspects were asking him for a coin, but he refused to give them.
The suspects suddenly pointed a fan knife at him and forced him to give up his bag.
The victim handed his bag to the suspects and immediately ran away towards Quinta Market, where he managed to ask for assistance from the MPD bikers who were conducting a bike patrol in the area.
The authorities immediately chased the suspects, which resulted in their arrest and recovery of the victim's bag.
Police said the bag contained a mobile phone, earphones, a coin purse with cash, and his other belongings.
The suspects are now detained at PS-14 and facing charges of robbery hold-up, police added.
Meanwhile, MPD chief Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon said, "They can run, but they cannot hide. With the relentless anti-criminality operations and sustained crime prevention efforts, criminals have no place in Manila. They will eventually land either in the hospital or in jail."
