PDEA nabs top female drug peddler in Bulacan buy-bust

Government anti-narcotics agenyts seized on Saturday, Sept. 23, around P340,000 worth of shabu following the arrest of a top female drug suspect during a buy-bust operation in Meycauayan, Bulacan.

In a statement, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) tagged Lorna Salvador, 38, of Barangay Panginay in Balagtas, Bulacan as a high-value target (HVT) being a bulk distributor of illegal drugs in the province.

After receiving information from a tipster, the operatives mapped out a plan that led Salvador to sell 50 grams of shabu to an undercover agent and arrest her in Barangay Malhacan.

The recovered contraband was forwarded to the PDEA Regional Office 3 laboratory section ‘for quantitative and qualitative analysis.’

Salvador faces charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’

The operation was carried out by the PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office, PDEA Bataan Provincial Office and Philippine National Police (PNP).
