The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, Sept. 23, said that it still monitoring two Low Pressure Areas (LPAs) inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) which both still have a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours.

The first LPA was last seen 530 kilometers East of Catarman, Eastern Samar while the other LPA was last observed 235 kilometers West of Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
Meanwhile, PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon or "habagat" still prevails in Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
With the weather systems, PAGASA weather specialist Veronica Torres said that cloudy skies with scattered rain showers, thunder, and lightning will be experienced in Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Visayas.
PAGASA also warned against moderate to heavy rains that may cause flash floods and landslides in the said areas.
In Southern Luzon, Central Luzon, and Visayas, rain showers will still be experienced on Sept. 24.
In Northern Luzon and Mindanao, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of localized thunderstorms at night will also be expected on Sunday.
Based on the weather outlook of PAGASA, rain showers will be experienced in Metro Manila in the next three days. (Lizst Torres Abello)
