Police operatives seized P3.57 million worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and arrested two men in a buy-bust operation in Muntinlupa on Sept. 22.
The Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) Unit 3, together with the Muntinlupa police, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-National Capital Region conducted the buy-bust operation in Summitville Subdivision, Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa.

During the operation, the police arrested suspects James Regonay, 37, and Dante Cleofe, 48, residents of Barangay Putatan.
Seized in the operation were one plastic sachet containing 25 grams of suspected shabu, two plastic bags containing 500 grams of suspected shabu, a cell phone, a pouch with IDs, drug paraphernalia, and buy-bust money.
The confiscated illegal drugs weighing 525 grams with an estimated of P3.57 million were turned over to the PNP Forensic Group in Camp Crame, while the suspects will be turned over to the Muntinlupa police.
The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
“We will maintain without let up our collaboration with other law enforcement agencies so that our aggressive stance against anti-illegal drugs campaign will continue to cease drug menace especially in our area of responsibility. Congratulations to the operatives,” said Southern Police District chief Brig. Gen. Roderick Mariano.
