LPA, 'habagat' to bring rain showers in Metro Manila, most of PH
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, Sept. 23 said that cloudy skies with scattered rain showers will be experienced in Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula due to the two Low Pressure Areas (LPAs) being monitored and southwest monsoon or "habagat."

PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said that the first LPA was seen at 85 kilometers Northeast of Infanta, Quezon, while the other was observed at 125 kilometers West of Iba, Zambales.
There is still a low chance for both LPAs to develop into tropical cyclones said Aurelio.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms will be experienced in the rest of Mindanao as per PAGASA.
PAGASA also warned against moderate to heavy rains that can cause flash floods and landslides in the affected areas. (Lizst Torres Abello)
