Graduates were comprised of 385 personnel from the 77 city and municipal police stations in Caraga, 160 new graduates of the Basic Internal Security Operations Course, and 25 personnel from the Regional Maritime Units 10 and 13.
This new batch of R-PSB cadres will fill up all 336 Barangay Development Programs (BDP) in the region.
Police Major Gen. Harold B. Tuzon, deputy commander of the Area Police Command-Eastern Mindanao (APCEM), was the guest of honor and speaker during the closing ceremony here on Wednesday, September 20.
Tuzon commended PRO-13 and all partner-agencies for the successful training that has the primary goal of creating a conflict-free and insurgency-free community, especially in the far-flung barangays.
The APCEM chief reminded the new graduates to always uphold the law. “It is our moral obligation and responsibility to demonstrate commitment to upholding the law and serving the public with honor and integrity.”
PRO-13 chief Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft commended the graduates. “I would like to remind our graduates that they hold a substantial role in the government’s efforts to accelerate the BDP of the NTF-ELCAC and to prevent the resurgence of insurgency.”
