Water supply disruption to hit Southern Metro Manila

Due to Muntinlupa water plant shutdown

Maynilad Water Services, Inc. has announced a temporary shutdown of the Putatan water treatment plant in Muntinlupa starting Thursday, Sept. 28 to Sunday, Oct. 1.

In a statement, the West Zone concessionaire will conduct its second scheduled plant closure this year due to maintenance and repair. 

Among them would be the replacement of the ultrafiltration (UF) inlet valves that helps with regular water filtration.

Because of these activities, temporary water disruption will hit the southern parts of Metro Manila. This includes Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Parañaque, Pasay City. Areas in Cavite are also affected by the maintenance.

The list of areas and their schedule are as follows:

Sept. 28 to 29

8 PM to 6 AM
Parañaque – Merville, Moonwalk, Sun Valley, Don Bosco, Marcelo Green, San Antonio, San Isidro.

5 PM to 8 AM
Muntinlupa – Ayala Alabang.

6 PM to 1 AM
Las Piñas – Almanza Dos, Pilar, Talon Uno, Talon Dos, Talon Tres, Talon Kuatro, Talon Singko.

Parañaque – BF Homes, Don Bosco, Marcelo Green, San Antonio, San Martin De Porres.

Bacoor City, Cavite – Molino II, Molino III, Molino IV, Molino VI, Molino VII, Queens Row Central, Queens Row East, Queens Row West, San Nicolas III.

6 PM to 6 AM

Affected households are urged to store enough water supply for the following days in order to mitigate the inconvenience. Regardless, mobile water tankers are set on standby to deliver emergency water stock to residents in need. (Gabriell Christel Galang)
