Teresa, Rizal suspends afternoon classes on Sept. 22 due to Taal's smog

Following reports from authorities about the emission of volcanic smog from Taal Volcano, the local government of Teresa, Rizal has suspended the afternoon classes in all levels in both public and private schools for September 22, Friday.
In an advisory, Teresa, Rizal Mayor Rodel Dela Cruz announced that all afternoon classes in both public and private schools covering all levels are suspended.
“Dahil sa health risk na maaring dulot ng Volcanic Smog na kasalukuyang inilalabas ng Bulkang Taal ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST). Pinapayuhan ang lahat na limitahan ang pagkilos sa labas ng bahay at kung hindi maiiwasan, magsuot ng facemask para sa proteksyon, (Due to the health risk from the volcanic smog from Taal as issued by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, all are urged to limit their movement outside their homes and if necessary, wear facemask for their protection),” the Teresa local government unit advisory stated on its official social media pages.
