College of Saint Benilde star Will Gozum will be sitting out his team's first game against Lyceum in the opening day of the NCAA Season 99 on Sunday, Sept. 24, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Gozum will be carrying over a disqualifying foul he committed during Game 3 of the Season 98 finals where he headbutted Letran's Paolo Javillonar in the waning minutes of the deciding match.
The one-game suspension will take effect in Benilde's opener against Lyceum at 5:30 p.m.
The 6-foot-4 forward was named the Most Valuable Player in the previous season, averaging 16.73 points, 9.41 rebounds and 1.68 assists per game.
Last year, CSB had the chance to claim the title as it finished the eliminations as top seed with a 14-4 record and made a historical return to the finals after two decades courtesy of a thrilling win over San Beda in the semifinals.
The Knights, however, delivered the lethal blow to the Blazers' title aspirations after winning the finale in three games.
