Norman Black named San Beda basketball consultant

Black, also a decorated PBA import, came as a development as the Red Lions try to reclaim the title they last won in 2019.

San Beda has installed former PBA coach Norman Black as its basketball consultant for the NCAA Season 99, the team posted on Instagram Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Black's appointment came as a development as the Red Lions try to reclaim the title they last won in 2019.

Prior to his appointment, the 65-year-old mentor served as Meralco's head coach and guided the Bolts to four finals appearances.

He was also Ateneo's mentor when the Blue Eagles won five straight titles in the UAAP.

Black will team up with San Beda head coach Yuri Escueta on the sidelines.
