The Philippine club will have to top the qualifying draw to earn its spot in the main draw, but the squad led by TH Tumalip are confident that they can beat the odds.

“Mahirap yung pagdadaanan namin pero handa kaming ipakita kung ano yung kaya namin. Pinaghandaan namin ng mabuti yung Cebu Masters at di kami susuko ng ganoon lang kadali,” he said.

Tumalip will still be teaming up with Spain’s no. 11-ranked player Jose Blasquez and Cameroonian big man Mike Harry Nzeusseu, while welcoming top Croatian player Stanko Kujundzic for this campaign.

Lubao-MCFASolver will first take on Taichung Hong Jia of Chinese Taipei at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday before facing off against Auckland of New Zealand at 1:55 p.m.

Only the top team in the group will progress to Pool D where the Jimmer Fredette-led Miami and Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy of Mongolia awaits.

Pool A will have Ub Huishan NE of Serbia, Sansar MMC Energy of Mongolia, and Wuxi of China; Pool B is composed of Amsterdam HiPRO of Netherlands, Paris of France, and San Juan of Puerto Rico; while Pool C has Vienna of Austria, Futian of China, and Manila Chooks.
