Fisherman falls in Bacolod drug sting

BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested a fisherman in a buy-bust operation in Purok Makawiwili, Barangay Punta Taytay here on Friday, September 22.

Police identified the suspect as Rien Vic Gersabalino, 38, of Barangay Punta Taytay.

Police Capt. Joven Mogato, head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said they conducted a six-day monitoring on the suspect after they received information about his illegal drug activities.

Confiscated from the suspect was 22 grams of suspected shabu worth P149,600.

He is a street-level individual, according to the police.

Gersabalino is detained at Police Station 9.
