Fil-Am mother, daughter stabbed to death by teen’s ex-boyfriend

A teenage boy was arrested  for allegedly stabbing to death his Filipino-American ex-girlfriend and her mother in their home in Pennsylvania, United States.

In a press conference, Northampton County District Attorney Terence Houck said the suspect, identified as John Bradley, 17, was arrested on "two counts of criminal homicide and one count of theft of a motor vehicle."

The victims, 16-year-old Rianna Glass, and her mother, 39-year-old Rosalyn Siobal Glass, were found dead in their home at 1100 Railroad Street by an adult family friend, who reported it to the police at around 11 a.m. on Sept. 14.

Rosalyn's body was found at the top of the staircase, while Rianna was found in the upstairs bedroom.

The autopsy of the victims showed the daughter died from neck compression and stab wounds, while the mother had multiple stab wounds. Both manners of death were ruled as homicide, consistent with the use of a double-edged knife.

Bradley and Rianna were in a relationship, but they separated in August, according to the district attorney. He added that the suspect was recently informed that Rianna had begun a new relationship with another person.

Police said surveillance cameras from the Glass family's neighbors captured Bradley and his 14-year-old female companion repeatedly roaming around the front and rear of the victim's house on Sept. 13 and 14 prior to the homicide.

As Bradley and the teenage girl fled the crime scene using Rosalyn's sports utility vehicle (SUV), their car crashed while speeding. They were both thrown out of the car, sustaining major injuries.

Based on the forensic analysis conducted by police, Bradley's blood and DNA were positively identified on the murder weapon found in the vicinity of the residence and on the traces of blood in the crime scene.

Bradley was served a warrant of arrest. From the hospital, he was transported to the Magesterial Justice Hall and arraigned.

The district attorney said the suspect is "in the process of being transported to the Northampton County Juvenile Justice Center."

The case is still under further investigation by the police.

A GoFundMe page has been set up by Nicholas Glass on behalf of his brother and Rosalyn's husband, Terry Glass Jr., to help cover the costs of funeral services.

Rosalyn was born in Pangasinan and migrated to the United States of America. She worked in the retail industry and was a member of the Grace Christian Fellowship, Bethlehem.

Rianna was in her junior year at the Northampton High School. She was an avid dancer and active member of the county's 3D Dance Studio.
