DPWH: Newly-paved bypass road boosts local economy in Nueva Ecija
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said on Friday, Sept. 22, that the newly completed P27.73-million improvement works in various sections of the Pedro Manubas Bypass Road in Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija have increased the economic activity in the area.
In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Region 3 Director Roseller Tolentino noted that the road improvement project involves the construction of concrete road shoulders with thickness of 1.48 kilometers along the intermittent sections of Pedro Manubas Bypass Road.
He stressed that upgrading the two-lane Pedro Manubas Bypass Road in Barangay Tramo provided a link between Emilio Vergara Highway and Daang Maharlika.
Tolentino cited the DPWH Nueva Ecija Second District Engineering Office (DEO) under District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad for the completion of the project.
With the widened sections, Tolentino stated that the carrying capacity of the said road will also provide more convenient travel to the public and efficient transportation of goods and services to the intended destinations. (Trixee Rosel)
