DOH participates in high-level global discussions on regionalized vaccine manufacturing
The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday, Sept. 22 said it took active participation in the High-Level Global Roundtable on Regionalized Vaccine Manufacturing Collaborative held in New York City.

The DOH delegation led by Assistant Secretary Maylene Beltran took part in the discussions with representatives from various countries during the event on Sept. 19, underscoring its commitment to advancing vaccine manufacturing within the ASEAN region.
DOH said the main goal of these discussions was to promote international cooperation and ignite commitments from stakeholders to establish vaccine manufacturing networks.
During the roundtable session, DOH said that the latest version of the Regionalized Vaccine Manufacturing Collaborative Framework was unveiled.
It said the gathering also provided a platform for the exchange of valuable insights regarding financial tools and investments available to support vaccine manufacturing initiatives.
DOH reaffirmed its unwavering support for these commitments in line with ASEAN's commitment to achieving vaccine security and self-reliance.
It also emphasized how the DOH's commitment to ensuring vaccine access and enhancing healthcare capabilities, not only within the Philippines but also throughout the larger ASEAN region, is highlighted by this high-level engagement. (Zekinah Elize Espina)
