BSKE candidates in Jalajala, Rizal ink peace covenant

Candidates for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections (BSKE) in Jalajala, Rizal, signed a peace covenant for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the elections.

Initiated by the Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO), the signing of the peace pact was attended by majority of those who are vying for the position of barangay chairman and members of the barangay council or the kagawads and members of the Sangguniang Kabataan.

The office of PPO director Col. Rainerio M. De Chavez said majority of the candidates first joined a short unity walk before proceeding to the gymnasium for the signing of the covenant and reciting of the pledge of commitment for a peaceful and orderly observance of the BSKE on October 30.

Municipal Election Officer Ferdinand Nimeno and representatives of various sectors witnessed the covenant signing held on Sept. 21 at the town’s gymnasium.
