11 hospitalized after eating fried chicken in Batangas

CALATAGAN, Batangas – Eleven poultry farm workers, including six women, in this town were hospitalized after eating fried chicken on Thursday, September 21.

Police said the victims were workers of Tierra del Sur Poultry Farm in Barangay Biga.

Investigation said that the victims ordered fried chicken from a pizza house in a shopping mall in Balayan, this province, for a party.

At around 4:45 p.m., the victims felt abdominal pain, dizziness, diarrhea, and vomiting.

They were taken to the Calatagan Medicare Hospital.

Authorities have collected samples of the fried chicken for examination at the Batangas Provincial Laboratory.
