PH, Bangladesh eye defense cooperation via military training, education
Military officials of the Philippines and Bangladesh are planning to hold training and education that will strengthen defense cooperation between the two countries.
This was the topic of discussion when Brig. Gen. Kazi Anisuzzaman, the Directing Staff Army-6, National Defense College, Mirpur Cantonment visited the AFP General Headquarters at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

“We are planning to establish our defense cooperation and our shared responsibility through education and training in pursuit of a more stable Indo-Pacific,” said Maj. Gen. Noel Beleran, the AFP’s deputy Chief of Staff for Education, Training and Doctrine.
Also discussed during the meeting were AFP’s courses and exchange programs, and the plans to continue working with allies in terms of education and training.
For his part, Anisuzzaman shared the challenges and goals that they have for Bangladesh and express interest in what he described as increasing connectivity with partner nations.
"We need you and we need our brothers beside us. We value your country," said Anisuzzaman.
The National Defense College of Bangladesh is currently on its Study Tour Visit to the country with the intention to share and exchange views on both countries’ challenges and development strategies.
